Going to the classic this coming Saturday - bought the tickets last year as soon as they went on sale.

Pretty disappointed there doesn't appear to be any CanAm racing this year. For me it was by far the most memorable part of the event. I wonder why not as its the perfect place to get out those barrel chested monsters

Looking forward to the Williams FW14 though - should be Mansell driving though, another missed opportunity!

Don't get me wrong, its still the nations premier motorsport event - unless anyone wants to nominate another!

A racing buddy is competing in his Cobra and we are attending for the first time. The weather looks promising and we have some hospitality organised so hoping for an enjoyable weekend. I'm sure there will be plenty of cars and circuit action without the big bangers on show, it's such a huge event.

After looking at the timetable I've actually now swapped my Saturday ticket for a Sunday one. I spoke to the ticket office and they were very reasonable/ helpful.

The Sunday lineup with fia masters and earlier group c races (as well as the f1) were much more appealing to me.

Only problem is it looks like there might be rain sun...

Fingers crossed!

Had a cracking time at the classic yesterday (Sunday) with my son.

Really lucked out with the weather. Forecasts were rain most of the day, but it didn't actually start until after 5PM with mostly sunshine and 20C +

Absolutely brilliant event and very glad I swapped my ticket to the Sunday event. All the races I mentioned were incredible. The FIA masters was particularly impressive this year with a huge number of cars competing. I think there were nearly 10 Lola T70s (!) so definitely not short-changed on the big V8 front.

Stand out for me was the Merc C11, and some of the other Group C lineup in the pouring rain on slicks - whoops!

Another great day - but I'll be waiting until the last minute to buy my tix next year - probably at the gate...

I'm glad my son has experienced what a proper engine should sound like.

Long live the inefficient petrol engine!

I was there for all three days, but had to leave quite early on Sunday so missed the Group C's in the rain, saw them earlier in the week end and the C11 was epic.

On the Friday the FW14 had had an oil cooler replaced and they had to purge the suspension system, quite interesting seing it being done.
