Used to go to the Grasshopper meets years ago.

I hate meets were people feel the need to floor it out of the venue. Just f**ks it up for future meets.
Indeed, seems to have got worse after I left (can see me driving past at 1:25 after getting out of the other exit to avoid the crowds...

Looking at this I have no idea if people would be welcomed back :/

We try to make the meet a chilled car meet, but very hard to control if people boot down the road.

The next meet is at Westerham Brewery Saturday 4th November as a breakfast club. We have the whole space to use and there will be breakfast and hot drinks and toilets.

Please join the event below:

We will have stewards on the day to control the event and make sure everyone is happy and that people are respectful in there cars.

Thanks for the feedback guys and hope to see you at the next meet.

I'll likely try and give the next one a try - may be worth putting a very obvious warning about respecting the hosts of the event (the Brewery) by not excessively revving engines (I'm partial to a bit but the GTR last weekend was a whole other level) and driving responsibly to ensure that A) we can go back and B) not pissing off their other (likely regular) customers who have the landlords ear...maybe worth threatening to ban those who act like knobs from future events.

Just invite the local police along to "improve relationships between them and motorists". Should stop people driving like dicks.

As mid April will be Sunday I'll believe that when I see it.

Right, sorry chaps - I've just tried walking the hangover off with Bella... Didn't work.

Will head over after the GP highlights and get it sorted!

The pub that is... Not much I can do about the weather!

I managed to be away for all of the meets last year.

Hoping to make one of these this year as it's just down the road from me.

Sorry guys - work is slammed and I'm full of man flu!

Not a great combination...

Anyway - I did go and booked us Sunday 6th May.

Before I start a new thread, there are some caveats to that.

It's now under new management so they suggested that we don't start at 11am anymore and we should come at 12pm instead (which was always the 'official' opening time).

Now, I know people liked the fact they could generally get home and do family stuff at lunch etc so how do people feel.

2nd issue (not a big one) is that because it's now 12pm... I don't think I can make this first one (or certainly not for long) as I've got a family lunch in the diary. One of you other regulars can herd the flock though.

Am I also right in thinking that's a bank holiday weekend (Mrs9 isn't here to tell me these things, currently) and people might be away?

Better to start the week/ month after? Give this a go? Thoughts?

Yes, it is bank holiday weekend (according to Google Calendar wink ).

I can't guarantee I will be there (family commitments might call me away) but my intention is to be there if you go ahead.

Unfortunately Sunday 6th May is Supercar Siege and the Blancpain GT at Brands Hatch which I've already committed to on that day.
