RWD, Lightweight Classic & Modern Classic Runs - South Downs
Discussion
really enjoyed the drive today...my first time out testing the little Alfa in wet conditions...was great fun!
It is now back in the dry...ready for sills and floorpan resto work in January. I'll keep the top bodywork "patina" though.
Thanks again for the drive Anthony and for organising Bertrand.

It was exactly a year ago today that I posted the initial message for our Light Weight & RWD convoy. Now 10 runs down the line, it's been a great year!!
Thank you all for joining the club & the runs, great mix of cars, brilliant roads and great bunch of people!
Thank you very much to Anthony for tremendous work on route planning, and being all round awesome!
Next run is on 20th Jan, we have a few spots available. If you wish to join our Light Weight & RWD convoy, just drop me a line.
Merry Christmas to you all

Thank you for joining our First 2019 run today, it was quite cool. Nice to see you guys, getting the cars out again and enjoying the smooth quiet roads!
Congrats to the two chaps with the new toys!
Our next run is on Feb 17th. We'll start in East Sussex and head to Kent, bright and early as usual.
We probably have one or two spots left so feel free to drop me a line if you want to join us.

Was a great run out today... I was lucky to follow the Corvette...still chuckling even now!
thanks for organising again Bertrand (do you have a photo from Beachy Head?) , and Anthony for planning the route and breakfast.
Hoping to have the joyful steed back with new steel and ready to rock the March run.

Hi All - a friend and I have recently moved to East Grinstead and Turner's Hill. He bumped into you guys at Ashdown forest over the weekend and mentioned you had a car club going in and around the area.
Would love to get involved in any drives you are doing? I'm in a 2016 BMW M4 Comp pack and he is in a Porsche 911 so hopefully they fit the bill (although not as light as some of your cars!)
Cheers

Hi Nmann88 and MumboJumbo1,
Thank you for your interest! I will send you a message privately (if you're contactable by emails), but to give you a short answer, in order to keep things as special as they are now, I need to be cautious about keeping the ethos of the club as close as possible to the original theme:
Two Seater, RWD and (reasonably) lightweight.
Of course, there has been exceptions in the past, but I have to take the bitter with the sweet and keep strictly to the ethos.
By all means, I'm happy to discuss further but let's do it through private messages.
Needless to say your cars are fantastic machines, I'm sure you see what I mean, but I do apologise for being so strict.
With regards to publishing routes, we organise everything by private messages, do get in touch!
Best wishes,
Bertie
