Hope you all had a good time?

Unfortunately, as you may have heard, I managed to put my TVR in a ditch on the way to the starting point. Spun out coming on to the A22 from the M25, it was pretty spectacular. What an Idiot.

Looking like I’ll be spending some time trying to unbend it over the next few weeks.

Sorry to hear about your spin Will.

Big thanks to Bertrand for organising this and looking forward to the next one.
Here is a link to the video on youtube https://youtu.be/J1M1jwdP3GY
Hopefully next time I can run with top down and use the camera mount instead driving and holding the camera.

Sorry to hear about your woes, I want to apologise as I actually passed you on route in my orange 240Z and didn't stop. I slowed down and indicated but didn't manage to get your attention as you looked engaged on the phone and I didn't feel there was much I could add, albeit later realised you were with the group.

If it's any consolation the back end of my car feel very light and twitchy on that same corner and would have been playful potentially to the point of disastrous if I had had the same misfortune. I'm not sure if it was just very greasy or something else at play. Hard luck either way, I hope you get it sorted for the next one.

Betrand thank you very much for organising it was a great morning out with a fantastic mix of cars. It really was an eclectic mix with everyone adding their own mark. Sorry I couldn't stay for longer at the end and chat more however hopefully next time I won't have several commitments to make. Tony, thanks for leading as ever. Its always a pleasure. smile

The car was cleaned and safely returned to her garage this evening 220 miles later.

Cheers, Mark

Big thumbup to Bertrand for organising this event.
Commiserations to Will: hope you can get it fixed in time for the next one.

A bit unfortunate about the heavy overnight rain. It left a LOT of standing water.
We were lucky with the few really deep puddles. Nothing oncoming. smile
A big bonus was the sunshine, although that wind was a bit fierce on top of the Downs!

Could have done without that berk in the Audi and the woman behind him down that lane though.
He waits for the car ahead of me to go by then pulls out and drives straight at me with her up his chuff. eek

WTF??!! banghead
punch

As Mark said a great variety of chariots, plus a really nice group to drive with.
Hope you all liked the bit just before the end. biggrin
Looking forward our next outing. driving

I don't see why mine should be the only one covered in grime... hehe
A couple of quid and a jet wash later has made it sparkly again. lick

I remember seeing you pass, lovely car.

Judging from the amount of car parts scattered about me, I was far from being the first car to go off at that corner. No excuse though, should have been paying more attention.

Many thanks for organising a great morning out yesterday Bertrand - really good fun and a pleasure to meet everyone.

Thanks also Rob for uploading the video - always nice to see footage (especially when you’re the car in front of the camera car!)

Looking forward to the next one and wishing a speedy recovery to Will and his TVR.

Cheers
Tim

Where will you guys be meeting? I'm over in Havant with my S2000 but would love to join you guys if you're not too far.

Would be good to know roughly where you're starting the convoy!
