Has moved from Dunsfold to Rockingham

The circuit should be a lot more interesting to drive, and to be a passenger too.

Anyone else driving, or going along for a ride?

Yes, I will be one of the driver on the day. Is anyone here doing this too? It will be my first time doing this event and I’m not quite sure what to expect lol

I've driven the last few years, lots of fun, not pushing too hard, giving other drivers a decent amount of space.

The briefing is usually more than detailed enough.

Yes, wouldn’t really want to push it too hard which I assume this is different to a track day session!!?

Indeed, we're there to entertain the public. Plenty of scope for pushing on without going too close to barriers, or leaving braking to the last yard. ...

Doing both days, this will be my 5th consecutive year. Should definitely be a more interesting track than Dunsfold although I'm not sure I really fit in the car with a helmet on.

Weather looking good for this weekend... Saturday will compete with England game and Sunday British GP.. hoping this doesn’t impact the attendees too much as it’s for a good cause

I didn't take any pics.

Predictably it was quieter than in previous years, with the double whammy of clashing with lots of other sports as well as a new venue.

The track is much better to drive. There's plenty of room for everything else, more so than at Dunsfold, and in time I'm sure the event can be grown in years to come.

Thanks for that. Wow the track is so much better, and the passengers get a much much better ride.
Were the number of drivers much lower than previous years too? The track and pits seem very empty.

Yes, much fewer cars - we were still only allowed the same number of cars on the track as Dunsfold (about a dozen) even though it's a wider / longer track. But that seemed to work pretty well.

It really was very quiet unfortunately. Saturday was very quiet - Sunday made Saturday look busy.
Still, I think it has the potential to build there and be even better than it ever was at Dunsfold (which was already pretty great).

Thanks to all the drivers who came. Yes attendance and cars were down this year ( I had a load drop out days before the event for different reasons) and the sporting weekend and weather made a HUGE difference to attendance. However the feedback we had has been brilliant and we have so much room for growth going forward. The facilities are far more advanced than Dunsfold.

Watch out for 2019 Date very soon.
