Shame im away for this one as it has been some time, there has been a "Surrey car meet" which started off well but unfortunately this has turned in to a show off your Ferrari i/Lamborghini event ! and lost the whole essence of what the meet was about !
^^^ THIS BLOKE!It's just called Surrey Car Meet. To be fair it seems very well organised and people seem to like it. Last meet was "Supercar Sunday: Sloane Street - July 18". I just got the feeling I wouldn't be very welcome with a 30 year old Saab or (previously) an old TVR. I may be wrong, I've never been.

That's a bit odd seeing as Sloane St, is not in Surrey!fatboy18 said:

^^^ THIS BLOKE!I suspect that comment was what led Lob355 to put 2 and 2 together and make 5. Where has Lee said he's not welcome?
If Lob355 was in fact referring to the "Surrey car meet" it's a classic example of how thread drift takes hold..

Looks like a good event, unfortunately I own a Ferrari so won’t be attending as it seems we are not welcome ??
What you talkin' bout Lewis??? Why would nobody be welcome?? Where have I said that??
I used to organise kit-car meets which morphed into the first Surrey Pistonhead meets up at the Botley Hill Farmhouse. Those events then morphed into the Grasshopper meets which Umair then fked up :-)
There was no snobbery ever!!!
Your supercars are MORE than welcome!
We will have a mix of classics, moderns, rally cars, VWs, supercars , motorbikes, even some driving music now hopefully...
Please come alone, and I think beer is about £2.50 a pint at the bar!!! 😂👍

FYI Surrey car meets welcomes all classic / retro cars and have run some very good meets.
With -for-brains like these? I beg to differ.Grasshopper: October 2017.

Several more later including one which nearly took out the camera guy.
Similar 'wide boy' behaviour on show at the Frant event in January this year.

It's that sort of idiotic behaviour that generates negative vibes with the public.
As well as creating police interest. Meets have been closed down because of it.
I went to a SCM at Westerham Brewery unaware of those sort of antics.
Once was enough: never again. I'm now very careful about the static meets I attend.
I mostly prefer weekend run outs with a small group of people I know and can trust.
