While I understand the museum needs to make money, I think £14.50 is way overpriced. £5.00 or £6.00 would be fair in my book for a bleak cold day in January!
If the public are turning up in modern euroboxes then by all means charge them full price, but People who are bringing out their pride and joys for others to look at should not be charged full price. They are not there for the museum, but to chat with other car owners on the first social of the season. And you would not have an event without them!
So I won't be attending either.

I've also stopped going to Brooklands events due to them charging the full museum admission for every event. Whilst the museum is great and there is a lot of interesting stuff to see, once you have been a few times you resent having to pay full admission price when you don't want to actually see anything in the museum.
Would be far better if they had a tiered ticket pricing, like you get at National Trust (i.e. gardens only, or including the property), so you could pay for access to the grounds for these sort of events but you cannot view inside the museum buildings.

Being the only car show over the Christmas break, it’s an event my kids and I always look forward to. With Mercedes World on the doorstep, it turns into a decent half-day out. I’m more than happy to pay Brooklands’ entrance fee, particularly as a proportion of it gets reinvested straight back into a venue I’m keen to support.
Hopefully the comments earlier in this thread don’t put anyone off as it’s a great event and always has a good turn-out.
If Brooklands held monthly car meets early on a Sunday morning, then a lower fee to attend would be justifiable, but that’s not what we’re talking about here.

Has always been my point. Our cars are the focus so we shouldn’t be charged. I don’t need to look around and I don’t want breakfast so would park up, look around and leave. Nearly £30 for two of us to look at other peoples cars is unacceptable.
+1If i go anywhere it will be the Phoenix at HW.

For those who have been before is there a good time to arrive? Worth being there on opening or arriving at 10am?
As with most car shows .some are going home at about 9.30am but if you get there early and head home atlunch time ,some stuff arrives late and you won't see it.
Arrive at 8 ,stay all day ,if you have the stamina.
BTW ,on costs ,Auto Italia in May is a " premium" event and costs even more for the Italian owners to show.
I'm not going in 2019 ,partly because I should be elsewhere enjoying cars....
