Hi all wavey

I'm considering going to the Spa Classic for the first time this year, I've done Le Mans (Classic & 24 Hours) countless times but never Spa.

Can someone share some tips on organisng this trip without breaking the bank?

Does the Spa circuit itself offer general admittance & basic camping tickets?

Googling just takes me to a stream of the usual group event organising companies like 'First Tickets' and 'Speed Chills' ect, I've used both in the past for Le Mans and don't have any issues with them but I've also been perfectly happy with the cheaper option of general admittance and basic camping purchased directly from the official Le Mans website.

How does it all work if me and the boys just want a nice cost effective Spa Classic experience without all the 'Camp in a Cage' and catering package you get with 'First Tickets' and 'Speed Chills' ect?.

Thanks in advance, Dave.

Tickets are not expensive, you can use the grandstands without additional cost.

There's loads of great viewing areas around the track and the end of the pits just before Eau Rouge is an amazing place to view from.

I'd stay in Spa itself and drive in each day, there's more restaurants etc to choose from and a good atmosphere.

We booked a place via booking.com, a 2 bed apartment which was fantastic! Cost about £180 all in for three nights.

I'd book via Brian at 1st Tickets. It doesn't cost much more than booking direct and he handles everything. They also have more accommodation options this year with apartments and studios etc.

It's a great event and getting busier each year which is good news, more crowds means more atmosphere. Nowhere as busy as LM Classic, but that means it's easier to get around.

Oh....and if you can....book track laps, available on Fri / Sat...about £120 for half an hour and it'll make your weekend.

This is true but parking in Spa is very tight, quite a lot roadside so take that into account. A short drive to the circuit though.
We're staying a little further out this year at Verviers. Better parking

PistonHeads is going for the first time this year with our Le Mans partner, 1st Tickets. Booking will be opening in about two weeks and we're going to have a PH lodge over the pits as our base camp. All of our guests will have access, full details here: https://www.pistonheads.com/news/general-news/join...

I'm too excited to wait so have booked a track day there on the 1st April too biggrin

hello Dave, we have booked many Spa Classics in the past through Fastttracktours. They offer different packages , see link.

We always booked the Verviers hotel, excellent rooms and drinks..

https://fasttracktours.co.uk/booking/spa-classic/#...

You can also book "parade" laps (usually filling fast), a must while you are there. Paddock parking for your TVR is top !
You will enjoy it anyhow ;-)
