N24 Camping Am Nurburgring
Discussion
We're taking our first trip to the N24 this year (after 10 years at Le Mans).
Our plan is to arrive on the Wednesday - probably mid-late afternoon. Do the seasoned veterans think we are likely to be able to find space on the CaN site arriving this "late" in the week for 7 people trying to camp together or at least close to each other? 3-4 normal size cars, a 3x3 gazebo and sensible tents...
Thanks for any advice!

The locals arrive at the gate hours before it opens at the start of the week. You may get somewhere but you will have to walk a fair way. If it was my first year I would look at getting on a pitched company as in you pay for your tickets, camping spot etc. That way you arrive and pitch no problems and you can then do research for the next year.
You may get some room otherwise but may not get your whole group together.
Dont expect much sleep its a party untill the race & the locals start packing sunday morning and are gone before the race ends, Think the week kills them off!
Also dont expect to drive anywhere, total grid lock. Take plenty of water in with you (and or beer) and ruck sacks. Unlike Le Mans the shops are FULL all weekend so you can get what you want when you want without a issue.

It's a great atmosphere, and the locals are very friendly. We rocked up on the Thursday night in 2014 and found a decent spot by driving around a bit, and we weren't the last to arrive. You shouldn't have a lot of trouble getting your cars on the same "street", and you could probably ask some people if they'd mind moving/swapping their tents if you offer them a beer.
Incidentally, having stickers from other events will make you wildly popular, especially if you have a few spares to hand out: 2014 was the year that LM and N24 were back-to-back weekends, so we were thoroughly stickered-up!
