Missed this year but about to book tickets for 2020. Have camped at Houx the last few years and Maison Blanc and Beausejour before that. Was thinking about a possible change next year and in particular inside Terte Rouge; any one tried that or recommend any others not mentioned above?
Also (separately) any recommendations for a site were food is provided and or a beer tent? Travelling from Edinburgh in a TVR means the car is vacuum packed when taking stoves, pots pans etc...
Thanks

Lycian events - Village on The Curves. Inside BSJ but has large marquee for food, TVs etc, excleenet showers etc plus
British beer, sterling bar (£5.20 a pint) 30 yards from trackside viewing and less than two mins walk to top of Porsche curves banking opposite the Porsche viewing viewing area.

Yes, inside the Tertre Rouge bend is Team Langoustine.
I run it, so any questions give me a shout.
It is a commercial enterprise because of the numbers involved, but the facilities have been provided because that is the way we like to do LeMans. Clean loos/showers, not crowded, track side, security, marquee with full bar, TV, SAT, food etc.
We then divide the costs by the number of vehicles on site and that is what you pay.
All existing TLers get a heads up before pitches are made available to all. That way, we keep 85% the same faces on site. More of a reunion. Makes for a good place to be.

Their facilities and security is first class. The only issue for me was the way the tents were so packed together, it was a struggle to park in front of mine (big shout to the miserable fat couple next to us who did their best to try to stop me from parking - hope you enjoyed us chatting all night right next to youBritish beer, sterling bar (£5.20 a pint) 30 yards from trackside viewing and less than two mins walk to top of Porsche curves banking opposite the Porsche viewing viewing area.
TR is probably the hardest site to book, the ACO give a certain number to various agents and those agents will allocate out to people usually on a long term customer basis. If you are happy to pay the prices then get in now and see if they have any left. Alternatively there are usually a few that appear on the forum sites a few months before the race.
Yup - TD at Porsche Curves - absolutely brilliant site - viewing bank from tent door in thirty seconds. Ultra-secure, very clean and very friendly.
The only disadvantage is that its a long walk to the Village, but if it was closer, it wouldn't be at Porsche Curves - one of the best corners on the circuit.
One note - if you like your photography, take a step to stand on, otherwise you'll be shooting through the fence - On our first trip the LM in 2015, we could shoot over the top of the fence while standing on the ground (the viewing bank had only just been built). By 2016, I reckon the banking sunk had about a foot as we had to liberate some chairs from the marquee to see over the fence. We took some fold-up step stools in 2017 and we could see over the top again

We do have larger pitches which we only charge a an additional £50 and will always place a pre-erected tent on a larger pitch if necessary unfortunately we have to pay the ACO a hige premium for being the only site that can view the race whilst having a meal or a drink in the beer garden, obviously we do consider our viewing to be one of the best but do run a Minibus service to the Technopark and Antares.

I did think your site was excellent, I was a little unlucky with the neighbours, I understand the spacing issues, the issues of dealing with what you are given. Personally I like a bit of space and I like being on the Mulsanne side of the circuit, so I've found a quieter site in a different location with more space...but without the facilities.
What I do miss is your first class facilities, food, bar, security and viewing on the Porsche Curves. I expect on one of my solitary trips I probably will return for a future stay or two.
