......I think you have identified our needs and wants.

25th October is in the diary.

I guess we need to have a few 'best of breed' categories for the artistes e.g.

1st in the John Waynes saddle bags category
1st in the double bagger category
1st in the pierced bearded clam category
1st in the over 50's category

Potential problems as I see them.

1) Very few of us actually know each other by face so the initial "meet up" might be tricky. Now normally in a car park full of exotica it's easy, but in a crowded boozer full of erotica it might be harder (not literally). And no I'm not wearing a red carnation uder the clock at King Cross, but any ideas ?????

2) Keeping the group togeather and yet still getting in to places. My thoughts are that we pre decide a route and drift along it at will, if people decide they've "fallen in love" en route and stay thats up to them but they will still know that some of us will be curry at the Taj Mahal (or whatever) and then more beer in really late drinking hole. So to this end maybe people fancy coming with "real world" mates as well ????? The more the merrier (or the bigger the fight at the end of the night )

I'll need some help doing a route as contry to popular belief these aren't regular venues of mine and I'm not known by name on the doors (well not many). Any good Brick Lane Curry suggestions ????

Also how about start time, now for the London day dwellers obviously about six is fine (or even 12) but I think maybe 8 ish to allow for the likes of Mungo to get in from the sticks???

Opinions ?

To be able to recognise each other how about arriving in your best PH branded clothing? Its not like these places really have dress codes!

Matt.

Scruff - Just come anyway, it'll be a superb laugh!

Totally forgot to book! In my mind I'd done it, but had to hold fire at the last minute as the misses wanted to come, but we had to wait and see if they were sending her abroad.

Done now... better dig out the old DJ! On second thoughts... better go hire one to fit around by pie enhanced frame

Come on Scruff - you KNOW you want to come! Jeez... imagine... the "knob gag" table...

There is a pub on the way up on the left hand side called the "Duchess of Norfolk" (or something like that) that is very very downmarket, they tend to specialise in freaks and the elderly.......(the acts not the clientele)

If you want downmarket then try Middlesex street and east - I can suggest from the high roller to the downright east end
Barcelona
Harrys Bar
Monk
Poet
City Darts (known locally as City Tarts [mungo????])
Archers
etc. etc.

As a suggestion for the after bra-ty, on Brick Lane, which is where I am assuming you are planning for a curry, there is a top late night bar/club called 93 feet east thats open until 4ish I believe.

Ah - fine choice sir - but moi - I prefer either Cafe Naz (Middlesex street one rather than 1BL) and then Vibe then Bar 93.....

good Brick Lane Curry suggestions ????

Mel - we've tried the lot at work - I'll get a vote going and let you know but my fav is either Cafe Naz or the "really dodgy music one opposite work".....
