Can’t you just pay on the gate? I was going to if I decide to go.

It gets worse every year! Sure last time I went needed to pay about £8 parking as well. Complete rip off.

And if you turn up on the day and don't pre-book parking thats another £16! (£12 if you book in advance)

Went yesterday. £25.50 each in advance. £12 parking in advance. Show seemed less crowded than in previous years, possibly they were limiting numbers. Lunch (fish & chips and a drink) for two of us was £30! Didn't take any photos as the battery on my phone is getting marginal and the stuff I would have photographed was cordoned off so you couldn't take a pic without getting the cordon in the shot in front of the car. Comic Con was on too meaning there were some very fetching looking young ladies in the lobby outside the entrance!

Went on Friday, really pleased to see the show back on. No discernable drop in quality as far I thought, several interesting/unusual/notable cars made the day worthwhile.

Cost-wise, maybe a bit up from before, but it is a very good show. (Note - over the years, I've been to Essen, Retromobile, Stuttgart & Antwerp, the bar is set high). Think in terms of it being about 90p per week. Food prices were up on previous years, maybe heading to the wrong end of the good value/sod that spectrum. I tend to just grab a pie rather than a meal.

Numbers a bit down on 2019 and before, maybe some still not feeling comfortable about going out, or thinking it expensive. I'm not complaining about having more space but it would be a shame if the Sporting Bears raised less money.

I went yesterday, Saturday. Got stuck in traffic about 2 miles out at 10am, so slow getting in and would get worse. Took my own food/drink as I know the prices are on the steep side. I feel the prices/car park/hassle etc are taking it to “I can’t be bothered next year”. I will try to upload some more pictures.

Horrendous ticket price on the door but I couldn't bring myself to stay with the kids at Comicon all afternoon, so swallowed it. Great amount of stuff to enjoy and absolutely nobody there today. Perfect.

Take a packed lunch and ALWAYS park in the railway station car park.

I took 3 11 year olds who had a great day. The highlight was the ride in the mustang with 800 BHP with the sporting bears.

It was definitely quieter than usual but I fear not as good for the Sporting Bears (or the commercial exhibitors).

Went Friday, very quiet and all the better for it. We got round everything and there were no crowds anywhere, it was a nice place to be. A few exhibitors were missing but there were plenty of car club stands to make up the numbers. I did notice that only about 1% of the people were wearing a mask so perhaps the mask wearing crowd didn't bother to go, hence the low attendance.

Hi there,

For anyone that missed the show I have added the first gallery from my visit on Friday to my website.

https://www.dunlopix.co.uk/NEC-Classic-Car-Show-Bi...

Really enjoyed the event, much better than I expected as had thought that the pandemic would limit the number of cars on display.

I will share a link to the second gallery in a few days when I have worked it through

Regards

Tim
