Apparently you can't park in the Marina multistorey car park (which is a short walk from Madeira Drive) for 4 hours for free, unless you 'use' the Marina (like nip into ASDA for a sarnie...).
Says who? tongue out but in reality there's literally no cameras laugh there's cars that have been in there for weeks on end. Whereas the Asda carpark does indeed have very strict cameras so i'd 100% go for it in the Marina car park
Where's that damn parrot when you need it?
Upon re-reading it I do infact deserve a whoosh laugh

Great to see you're back on the road Mark and heading to a PistonHeads Sunday Service again. See you there!

Thanks Ben. Hopefully it's a dry day and am looking forward to seeing the sunrise. I will probably have to leave here around 3am?

I was trying to think of the last SS I attended? Have a feeling it may have been Silverstone about 5 years ago? Where does the time go? laugh

This will be the longest trip i have made since then and the E30 has been in hibernation for the past decade or more.

Amazing Mark, best of luck for the trip. I came away from Bicester Scramble yesterday desperate to buy an E30 of some sort, so look forward to seeing yours and chatting about it in Brighton thumbup

I'll be coming down in my S2000. And just FYI for those fairly local - for the 2nd year, there is a Bromley car show and I'm taking the 2k to that. The BPoM has moved now to Ardingly, post ULEZ expansion, and the new free business-sponsored car show is in the High St. Last year's was really good. It will be on July 5th.

Do we have to vacate the car park by 12:00 sharp? Or can we stay longer?

it says a few posts up the car park will then be available at the regular rate from 12...so I am just wondering if I can just stay put and whack a ticket on it...or there is the 4 hours free stay marina it seems not far. Looks like its going to be a hot one...!!!

Yep! If you are parked in the dedicated bays, you can remain in the space after midday - but will require a normal parking ticket. smile

and if you're still around (and it's your cup of tea), you'll have this to enjoy in the afternoon, right near where you're parked too :-)
