dont know if this has ever been suggested but does anyone fancy meeting up and putting names to faces and then show ourselves up at a kart race somewhere?
most places do hire kart races and there are enough cicruits around.

Far too decrepit for this kind of carry on myself but www.buckmore.co.uk Buckmore Park in Kent used to be a lot of fun and is just off the M2.

There is also Three Sisters at Wigan. but I suspect that is too far for most people.
I think I know the one at Glos. JDR Karting...? We went there for Roops Christmas Do.. its not the best track but its fun and there is a Pizza Hut a minute or so from the track.

In Surrey area, Surbiton (nr Kingston & on A3) and Blackbushe (between Camberly & Basingstoke on A30) are good bets - I've raced at Surbiton before on twin engined Karts - it's quite a fast circuit..

ok, anyone still interested?, we then choose the circuit closest or most convienient for everyone which I guess will be Whilton Mill in Northampton or Daytona in Milton Keynes.......i guess!......I think most places charge about £40 for a one hour endurance race......

pretty much the only website you ever need will! its very comprehensive with links to classes, shops, championships and drivers webpages.
I have done the inter university kart championship for two years, i havent raced proper clubbie stuff.
I am currently rebuilding a two stroke rotax to play around with in the summer so if you fancy getting together for a day testing somewhere I would be more than happy to bring it along. At the moment it is having some engine work but should be good for 80 mph and 5-60mph (no clutch) in less than four seconds!

Daytona in MK is an excellent circuit, 1 mile per lap and they currently run the Thunderkart which is a single engined 390cc and is capable of approx 75mph !!
Great fun and I can highly recommend it ( no I do not work there) They have a website which is www.daytona.co.uk. Or I can contact the circuit direct if you like as I have had various events there over the past couple of years..
