Getting Jiggle with it

Can anyone tell me where I can find an 82 degree thermostat with the jiggle pin fitted for the RV8? It seems like its a Rover dealer part only, but they only have 88 degree ones.

Do you really need the jiggle pin? Could get away with drilling a small hole in thermostat (or housing) to allow air to escape with stat closed. Not entirely sure of function of pin. Is it to break surface tension?

Cheers for the reply guy's. I was going to drill it as a last resort but having an 82 stat with pin already fitted I know they must be available. I assumed that the pin was to keep the hole clear but could be wrong!

Paul, I will give them a call to check the stat, its not too far from me either.
