Hello All
Does anybody know what the flow-rate is for the the 'big' Jaguar injectors and the standard Rover Sd1 type?

Mark Adams article on tuning V8 engine states

Rover SD1 185 cc/.minute at 36 psi
Jag Vitesse V12 196
Jag Xj6 4.2 Series III 248 (these are the ones he suggests to use for anything more than 270 bhp.

hi does anyone know what the impedance (z) of the Jag Xj6 4.2 Series III 248 injectors please. Just need to know to see what i need to do to my remapable ecu cheers

Uummm why not just set your multimeter to Ohms, and measure across the pins?

Impedance is different from resistance (which is measured in Ohms with a standard meter)

No idea, sorry. The people who sold you the ECU may know, as they're obviously in that line of work.

The Jaguar XJ6 and original Rover SD1/RR injectors are both 2.5 Ohms each. They are designed to be used with ballast resistors (6.5 Ohms) in series.

If your management system has a current limiting option then you can use that, and operate them without ballast.

The later 14CUX "hotwire" injectors are 14.5 Ohm and may be operated directly without ballast or current limiting. It's a nicer rail without the leaky rubber pipes!
