I had twin 2" SUs on my 240Z, put out 265bhp at 6,000 rpm, very reliable and easy to set up.

Continiously going out of balance. Needles breaking(I used to carry spares). Sticking floats in the fuel chamber. Just a pain that required continiously being looked at.

Maybe I prfer plugging in a laptop and playing with 3D maps compared to bending this and changing this spring and so on.

The SUs do need to be mounted horizontally to work well. I never broke a needle or had any other problems with them at all, once set up on the rolling road they were fine. I did make sure to maintain them though (and they were brand new when fitted). Though I must admit the looks of a triple Weber or Dellorto 45s setup was the dogs bs.
