P0010 fault code engine managent light on help needed

I have an engine management light on my Insignia 2.0 Turbo petrol. The father in law scanned it the other day it shows fault code p0010 a camshaft position actuator circuit open bank 1. We cleared the code but it comes on and off randomly. Any ideas??

You've probably got an intermittent open circuit on the camshaft position actuator circuit bank 1.

I've had this and it was a slack timing chain, it had stretched and the tensioner wouldn't take up the slack under hard acceleration. Any rattles or other symptoms?

When it comes on it will stay on but can come on when driving and when I have just started the car. Will also go off when it feels like.

Car does feel slightly different but no big rattles or anything.

From doing some more research it seems like there is a common problem on all GM 4 pots. The intake and exhaust sensors so these will be my 1st port of call and I will report back.
