Trouble Starting Car with the issue still undiagnosed

I've managed to get my hands on VAGCOM Lite and here are the codes it has thrown up:

You have several critical faults on this list. (LMGTFY) Forget the A/C control problem for now.
P0299 will cause limp mode, but not prevent it starting.
P1649 - lost comms with the ABS unit. So the CAN is faulty / ABS is goosed, wires are bad, or the Engine ECU is smoked. But hold on a moment.
P0102 AFM is bad / diconnected / undervoltage
P0322 Crank sensor signal / voltage is bad. So it's disconnected, or bad in some other way.

I would think some of the following.
Engine ECU is undervoltage - poor battery, short circuit in starter motor etc, or engine relay is not cutting in consistently.
Engine has lost comms with ABS unit, so CAN is down, maybe ABS unit is bad in some way.
Given that it won't fire on easy start, I wonder if the compression is good, or if the engine is turning over too slowly / killing the battery.
Either way, I think you are now out of your depth here OP, and you need the help of a diagnostic technician. And for gowds sake, don't take it to VW. If you're close to SE Wales, bring it to me.

How many of those codes are there because of manual interference/disconnections to test. Erase and crank, see what comes back.

If it's not running on easy start, best get the compression tester out & check timing.

There will be several faults which are appearing due to my manual interference and not having cleared codes after replacing/cleaning parts. The Mass Airflow and crank sensors being 2 for sure. Based upon that I imaging P1649 is the most likely cause of the issue. However I will get the faults cleared and crank her over again to see what she comes up with now.

The fuel injectors have a clearence above them where the rocker arm pushes them down. These havent been adjusted properly when the headgasket was changed.

Google it youll find your starting problem there.
