Garage tell me that the crankshaft has snapped.
They tell me that its not possible to buy a crankshaft, have to buy short engine from LR for £11.5k

Had a quick look on ebay: £7.5K but anyone had any experience of a good/bad suppliers?

Ideally would like my own garage to repair/refit so I have a little confidence in end result, rather than buying an unknown engine.

Any advice/recommendations/warnings etc gratefully received.

I'm in Poole on the South Coast

Save yourself the grief and buy a short or long motor from V8D.

V8 Developments. Extremely well known and well respected supplier of tweaked Rover V8s.

If you mean V8 Developments, I can only see rover v8. This is different engine, jaguar v8 supercharged.
