Basically i have a 1.6 tdi mk6 2009 golf and the problem im having is when its cold im guessing.
i come to start my car in the morning and it starts fine but lumpy and then i drive down the road and press my clutch and break at the end of the road and my car cuts out does it a few times lately and ive being a few garages and still nothing has being thought off this problem.

Please help with this situation.

Oh it has no diesel partical filter as i had it removed, the egr valve blanked and its also have stage 1 remap.

If you've had multiple garages look at the problem and even with the car in front of them they can't diagnose it, I suspect your chances of people diagnosing it over the internet are slim to none. What you will get, however, is an endless list of things it *might* be which will see you potentially wasting a lot of time and money if you try to fix all these potential causes without knowing what is the actual cause.

Your best bet is to show the problem to a competent reliable local mechanic so they can diagnose it properly. If you don't know one yourself, try asking friends and family.

Thanks for your reply greenv8s your there only one that has given me some feed back then just others being idiots on the post I did in other one I did and okay I'll take that into account I went Vw today and one of the mechanics said it could be an earth or something but no clue

Check the wiring loom and block connectors around starter motor and running downwards beneath the battery. It's a common area for wires to break and melt causing all sorts of annoying problems like yours. The fact it's remapped may be causing in not to throw up a fault light or is the engine management light/glow plug light coming on when the fault occurs

No it doesn't get an engine management light come on and the remap was done properly but thanks I'll ask my mate about the looms
