I have to admit that I am biased but an Audi chassis isn't the typical place I would want to put more power if I am honest.

In case you haven't done this type of thing before, you should be including these concerns in your plans:

  1. insurance - a 50% power increase will be an insurance red flag; run of the mill insurers won't touch it and the ones that will are going to charge a hefty premium
  2. transmission - most of the extra power comes you're getting will come from a torque increase, and torque kills transmissions
  3. cooling - the 50% power increase will also dump at least 50% more heat into the water and oil and they will almost certainly need to be upgraded
  4. brakes - 50% more power means you will be able to put a lot more heat into the brakes
  5. suspension - the extra torque will have a big effect on the handling characteristics
  6. engine management system - will need to be updated/replaced
Lastly, it seems unlikely that the engine will take 50+% more pressure without internal modifications

I've never done the specific upgrade you're describing, but in my experience the cost of the engine modifications has ended up being less than half the total cost of increasing the power. Before you commit to doing that, I suggest you explore the option of trading up to a car that has the performance you want as standard. I suspect you'll find it works out cheaper, more reliable and more usable in the long run. That's not to say you shouldn't modify your car if it you enjoy doing it for its own sake, but if you just want to drive a faster car I suggest you think carefully about the other ways to achieve that.
