Peugeot 407 diesel problem

my 2008 407 diesel was cruising down the rd when it just stopped running felt like it had run out of fuel. but had a full tank. RAC came out changed the cam centre as a possible remedy not so towed to a garage done diagnostic scan no answer. the one thing was when the car stopped running a strange clock appeared on my dash looked like a percentage dial. I'm desperate any clues please

By "cam centre" I assume you mean cam sensor.

Also, what is a "percentage dial"?

So is that all they did?

Checked & found no error codes?

RAC where going to send me a copy of the diagnosis they seem to have forgot. regarding the dial or clock that showed on my.dash I remember it showed 69% that's all I can tell you. yes it was cam sensor that was changed.

Which engine? 1.6 2.0?

I would take the car to somewhere a little more helpful and knowledgeable, either of those engines are very common.
