Yaris '02 - sluggish pull away.

Every morning I start up my car and drive to end of my close, 800mts, no problem. Stop to pull out right into main road - eek its so sluggish. It only happens once - the rest of the day is fine. I have heard of something you put in the petrol tank, rev the car and it 'cleans' the petrol. Could that be it. Don't get to technical please.

It is quite possible that the end of your road is just at the point in the engine warming cycle that it is then just starting to lower the revs as the engine warms up but is not yet up to full operating temperature.

You say it never happens in any other circumstances, has the car been serviced/has it had any work done recently/has anything changed recently?
