Afternoon all

So I parted company with 3 grand 5 months ago for what I thought would be a nice motor. Then I read the reviews on here! The car is very underpowered and the clutch is now slipping!
My main problem now though is the loss of coolant. I had the low coolant warning a week ago so topped up. the warning came on again a few days later and then yesterday the engine temp shot up to the red. When I checked, the reservoir was almost empty and had what looked like a clear/oily substance floating on the water. I topped up and limped home. I have had no heating for a few days neither.
I am fearing head gasket but hopefully someone on here can put my mind at rest with possible other reasons.
73k on the clock.
Many thanks

Ours did that. It was the oil cooler.
