If everything else is equal then a bigger (in every way) turbo will give lower cylinder temps than the smaller original which is what your original question was.
That's now gone out the window however as you've just changed the goal posts. Where is the extra power coming from if you aren't upping the boost pressure? Or if you are now increasing it then cylinder temps will rise and your original question is pointless in this situation.
You don't mention anything in your spec that will increase power output.

Ok, I have a turbo engine that uses a charge cooler setup. My tuner guy tells me that the charge cooler setup is now struggling to cope with the inlet temps from my small standard turbo, It's maxing out at 1.1bar, 285hp. As I'm about to fit a bigger turbo, it got me thinking, would it blow a little bit cooler as it did'int have to work as hard, and allow me to keep the charge cooler setup I already have. I'll find this out myself by trying it.
So what charge temps before/after the cooler is he seeing ? What sort of pressure drop across the core is he seeing ?

And water temps in/out of the core ?

Hello smile

You're quite limited as you are using the ST205 chargecooler in a mid engined car, so what I'd recommend is a bolt on hybrid S148 or similar. it's not as though you can throw a huge FMIC on it...without ruining the aesthetics

https://www.gt4-play.co.uk/shop/turbo-technics-s14... as an example

And then add water/meth injection using the new aquamist HFS flow meter system, so your ecu can account for the meth injection and reduce boost etc when you inevitably forget to top up the WI tank wink

have a word with our mutual mate in Chatteris, and he'll explain what the best way forward for you is, given the limitations your particular car poses.

and just for the record, what you've done with the car is awesome biggrin

I know the guy smile
It's a mid engine car(not japanese) using the MR2 engine and box with an ST205 chargecooler. very cool car although it upsets some of the more anal purists...

Based on what?
It will only give lower temps if it's running more efficiently than the old turbo, which is not necessarily the case.

ive tried chargecoolers in the past and ive found I can get a more consistent and lower intake temperature with a rear mounted intercooler.

If you look at the mr2 turbos running big power they are always putting intercoolers in the boot.

In my case ive just put a ford rs500 intercooler style at the rear of my engine bay, works great
