You have a PM.

Krikkit gives the link to the PSA servicebox which you would need to sign up for to access.
I signed up to it several years ago - I'm trade anyway but the family fleet comprised an assortment of 205, 306 & 307 Peugeots over the years!

If by any chance there is a list of parts used for the build of this vehicle it will come in very handy in the future, wouldn't want you wasting time on it though, only if easily done
I believe you can sign up for the PSA servicebox as a public user now - absolutely brilliant for finding parts for any of their cars, with lovely exploded diagrams easily to hand.

As noted, there aren't many diesel variants of the 306, looking through them all there's no alternate part number - I think Gates have just made an error in that particular part. I bet quite a few have been fitted and bodged into place.

The help from both of you and others suggestions is much appreciated

paintman, viewed the PM and replied

Krikkit, as you mention, looks like errors made and others have copied

Servicebox won't let me in, ticking the public box at stage 1 sends me on to stage 2 of the registration that sends me back to stage 1 after a loading symbol going round and round for a while

Would have been nice to get in

Have a good day

I presume this is a tech error on Gates' behalf, as there's nothing similar in the 306 at all.

I have seen problems with hoses where the engines were shared between Peugeot/Citroen and the hose layout was different, but with the same part numbers, but again that's not happening here as the Xsara's hose layout is completely different, with expansion takeoffs on the bottom hose...

How odd!

This SASIC one looks OK though: https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/sasic-7725842.htm...

New Sasic hose arrived on Wednesday and is the correct shape

Thank you very much Krikkit

Thank you to all others that tried to help, especially paintman for viewing PSA servicebox for information

All of you keep well

Glad it worked out in the end - funnily enough I found a bottom hose off one of my old 106s kicking around in the garage last night and thought of this thread. biggrin

I see you've fixed it, mister auto has a 3847 hose if you need another replacement.
