Touareg 3.0 TDI smoke on idle

Dark smoke, is either clogged emission control or over-fuelling.
Where the EGR feeds into the inlet is near the front of the engine just behind the throttle body on the front right of the engine.
Remove the throttle body and clean it with some carb cleaner. Might want a small wire brush if it's crusted up.
Otherwise your injectors are fubarred, quite common on that engine. Might want to sit down for this one... usually about £3k fitted.
