You need to be a member of the group to see it on FB.

I have stripped the personal info out (to stop the Mods deleting it as an ad)

Bloody gorgeous looking car , wonder what it cost to build ???

A bogo 1972 pre-impact 911 would be around £70k today ??

You would be lucky to get a decent T for that money.
£90K I would say is cheap.
Probably cost well over £200K to build

With trick dampers, why are the ride heights all wrong ?
Too high up front to much sag at the rear, looks odd to me.

Be nice at 80 mph with all that front end lift going on.

People seem to want to drop them too low to get the right "stance" with the rear wheels tucked up into the arches.

To the car in general, we are back trying to value another mongrel. Probably very nicely built, but a very small target audience who will all want to change bits (I too dislike the seats).

Had a similar spec Tutthill car for 3 years, on Webber’s, Jenvey throttle bodies, brake bias, Recaro seats etc etc....

If you tried to build that now, it would be £150k - £200k

Ride settings are pretty easy to sort out.

They’re a fantastic antidote to today’s modern, overblown, overweight, overpowered sports cars.

I’d only say one thing....

Buy it. Quickly!

Looks like a great proposition for so many reasons, however, I wonder if a large part of the value is getting exactly the car you want and the experience of participating in the build process.

Hence why the large differance between used values and original build cost.

If you're in the mkt for one of these or a back date etc buy this! Probably one of the best cars out there to learn how to drive a rear engined car at sane speeds. Perfect. I'd want to pay £80k for her.

If you want a f series chassis, get it bought at that price,it will handle perfectly, ride well on the road and go well, only crit is carbs instead of mfi,not a big issue to change.
Try building one for that money,i have been running xtc for years, cracking dampers.
Only a fool would comment on set up ,with out the car being sat on level ground,as bert says, dont run them slammed down,as it dont work well.
Knowing tutts the car will be good, panel gaps and paint have improved over time with them, rather building a functional rally car,the get it now on makeing a nice looking road car..

I bet there will be some haggle factor init, and dont look at it as a poor mans singer!

Just the small issue of money - there is a reason people pick carbs and its not because its superior.
10-15k to get it on MFI with all the bits and bobs.

Its far nicer than a Singer imo. Honestly if I had more space I'd get down there this morning and make an offer. She'll be sold this weekend I bet. Easier to set her up on MFI than carbs hence I'd want switch. I'd change the seats too so at least £10-20k spend minimum depending on what you go for.

Exactly so. A car with a big project price to get it where you want!

However if it's what you want then it'll be brilliant.

jenvey or pmo kit around 5k plus ecu and loom, friend just done this for about 7k all in including rr session,it goes well.Easy to fit the kit your self if your half handy.
Plus sell carbs.
Tutts know how to set carbs well, just needs quality fuel and filters

I’ve driven a couple of Tuthills built cars (including the one pictured quite recently) and there is a lot to commend them. They are not for everyone but if you are looking for a fun early car, you could do a lot worse. What I would say is go and have a look for yourself, figure out if it is for you and what the finished price of the car will be depending on what you want done.

Ignore the comments from some people on here who feel qualified to comment with no first hand experience of the car. Talk to Tuthills as they are very helpful, if expensive.

We bought a pretty little hot rod (993 9m RS Touring) and have spent circa £12k on ordinary bits and bobs over the last few years and she was what most people would describe as mint before we bought her.

We'd never been to a PCGB concours before and she won best over all car so many thanks to the guys at 911 Virgin for preparing her properly for us and also to such a high standard but to do things properly trust me it costs money especially with RS.

Back on topic whoever buys the 72 hot rod is very very lucky but it will need a bit of cash to get her how you want her! Be the same or even higher level of engineering as our 9m RS with Tuthill's car things like new pedal box welded in and chassis reinforcement to take the extra power and make the shell stiffer you can't see the benefits etc but this cars a different level of engineering. Most of the backdate stuff by comparison out there very average IMO -embarrassing TBH so I don't even bother commenting.
