Afternoon all, my other half’s horse box is based on a Renault Master. It’s been running well until recently. From a cold start it won’t rev (foot to the floor and it’ll do approx 1500rpm) If you try to drive it then it’s absolutely gutless. However, once left to idle for 5 mins it runs as normal. Today was the worst it’s been as it was very difficult to coax it to life in the first place and then very lumpy for a minute or so.

Any ideas folks?

First port of call is check fault codes, and view live data to see if there is anything out of the ordinary.

^^^^This.

If it's only doing it when it's very cold - as in the current weather - but is fine after a brief warming up period I wonder if it's glowplug related.

Thanks fellas, would you be able to recommend a fault code reader, it’s not something I own.

Would a glow plug fault show as a specific fault or would it fall under a broader fault group?

Cheers

Would be better - & probably cheaper - getting a professional diagnostic.
