My 2005 Jaguar XJ6 has a driveline vibration/rumble/resonance (best way to describe it) at around 50mph but only when cold which I'm struggling to identify. It sounds like it's coming from the rear. Above 55-ish the rumble disappears. It's not coming through the steering wheel. The severity doesn't appear to be getting any worse in the last 7k miles that I've owned it.

The car has done 50k miles.

Before I bought it, the car hadn't been used much for 4 years (less than 1.5k miles)

Tyres are new. It occurs with either winter or summer tyres on different wheels, so it's not the wheels/tyres.

Brake discs/pads are new in the last 5k miles and the sliders etc are all greased correctly.

Diff oil has been changed.

Gearbox fluid has been changed by a reputable specialist and software updated.

I've just refurbished the rear suspension bushes (as part of general maintenance/upkeep), problem is still there.

Anyone got any suggestions as to the cause or how to isolate?

You seem to have ruled much out except possibly prop shaft bearing/giubo, that could be your next call.
