Ive emailed Pace, Spec-R, Forge and Radtec...

Are there any others who can fabricate a quality alloy rad ? Shopping round for prices....

I had a great idea the other day, and cut my existing rad up with a hacksaw

Then when Pace and Radtec quoted me for a new one....maybe it wasnt such a good idea after all lol.
Needs done regardless though.

And while on the subject.....

As far as flow through the rad is concerned, is top to bottom, or side to side better ??

I had a pair made a few weeks back by someone local to me, he made me a pair of all alloy 450x500mm Pace core rads for less than £500 and his welding was spot on (he used to work for Pace).

In fact I was so impressed with his welding he's comming round on monday to Tig my entire chassis together.

Give him a try, I'll send you his number until I've checked he don't mind me posting it up.

We have always used HS Marston rads on our FS car.

Try www.proalloy.co.uk/ Speak to Wayne, very good quality and good prices too. Give him a ring rather than just an e-mail, he'll want to understand what the car is used for, how much power etc etc.

I did email proalloy, but as yet havent received a response....

I have a variety of prices so far...

Out of curiosity...would most of these guys use the same cores ? Ive no doubt there are plenty of guys who can fabricate and weld tanks etc...but I wouldnt imagine there are too many people actually manufacturing radiator cores to use ?

Do Pace actually manufacture cores? If not, who do - and do they sell directly as I want to make a rad.

I'm pretty sure Pace do actually make cores themselves. There was a write up in a magazine, or else their website stating it.

I also know, certainly as far as intercoolers are concerned both Pace and Radtec offer cores.

I think most ot the suppliers/fabricators offer cores for sale, for either rads or IC's

I was at Pace a couple of weeks ago, and yes all there cores are made on site. Impressive stuff, they gave me a guided tour. They are making a rad for my Ultima. Very friendly bunch of people. My rad is costing £460.
