Hi guys:

I've been asking this question over at www.rangerovers.net/forum but havn't had any joy so I thought I'd try here.

I want to put in some new spark plugs on my 1995 4.6HSE. The engine is standard except for a Mark Adams Torando chip upgrade (GEMS). Magnecor leads & K&N filter.

Most people say just use OEM Champion etc... but I gather NGK are one of the best. Someone over at rangerovers.net says that Bosch platinum + 4's are the way to go ( http://rangerovers.net/forum/viewtopi )but NGK IX plugs maybe that answer.

One Aussie guy uses these in his Range Rover model BPR5EIX with a 0.8 gap (Land Rover say 0.9 is correct) and www.spark-plugs.co.uk suggest BPR6EIX - which again has a factory gap default of 0.8. Both plugs retail at around £7.00 each.

I just wanted some comments from other V8 users about plugs so I can decide if it is worth the extra dosh...

I wouldnt be using Champion or Bosch.

I dont see why you would have a problem with any of the std listing NGK plugs. range.

I'm using NGK plugs, just the ordinary ones which cost £2 each,on my modded Griff and they work fine.I wouldn't waste your money on fancy stuff imho.

OEM or NGK would be fine. I cant see any need for anything fancy.
