I want to change the oil in my Cinquecento turbo from it's running-in oil (Castrol GTX) back to Mobil 1 which I used to use before its rebuild.

Should I use a flushing oil first, and what do people suggest? I'm a bit reticent about using some of the products available incase it leaves a residue - I had a Manta engine expire many years ago due to good old Slick 50 additive!

Cheers,

Don't worry about a flushing treatment, just fit a new filter, when you change the oil. Also I wouldn't put Mobil 1 in until the engine has got a few thousand miles under its belt, as it may prevent the engine from bedding in properly.
