Think I'll wait until the seller has some feedback before deciding whether I'll believe the claims.
Just can't help feeling there is more to it than a simple bolt on performance boost! Too good to believe? I'd want to see an indepentant tester verify the claims and the drawbacks!

You don't have to wait, I can tell you that this will absoluetly not live up to it's claims. A 25Watt motor isn't even enough to power a leaf blower, let alone a supercharger. This is a complete and utter waste of money.
What about the Fell diesel-mechanical locomotive? This had four engines providing the traction power, and a further two engines driving superchargers for the main engines. The idea was to provide masses of boost at low revs and reduce the boost as the revs increased, so you got a more or less flat power curve instead of the usual power-proportional-to-revs curve.

I remember back in about 1997, Revs (before it became, a cross between Max P and Mens World) featured a red 106 with the turbozet unit bolted on, inc all other mods (usual cone air filter, unichip, cams and exhaust) he claimed his 106 GTI pushed out 175bhp ( I think).
When a Saxo/106 owner claim their car is pushing out a certain amount of power, that's the number they would like it to have...and is almost certainly fictional..

I read in Autosport last year (or the year before) about a chap who built a hillclimb car with a Cossie engine which had a seperate turbine engine which powered the turbo.
There was definitely a car on the hills a couple of years ago which used a helicopter starter motor as an anti-lag device which kept the turbo spinning. Can't remember much about it other than it was quick, and sounded just like a helicopter (unsurprisingly)

seen quite a few electric turbos on ebay. although I wouldnt touch one with a barge pole. if it was that easy then why dont the car manufactures make them as standard. It seems to me that they blow air along. not actually cause a build up of pressure which is what you would need to produce more power.

I think the writers were quite impressed ( Mark Adams 550bhp Cossie was in the same issue btw).
Funnily enough I found this issue whilst having a clear out over the weekend, absolutly hilarious.
