Nissan 2.5 TD Question

Does anyone know if the 2.5 engine fitted to my Navara has a timing chain or not, I'm getting a really bad rattle on the overun and that's the only thing I can think it sounds like?

Just a hypothesisisisisis.....but dont most of Nissans line up use timing chains?
Even the micra does.
I think you could well be on the right track, but usually they tend to rattle all the time if theyre that worn. It could also be the tensioners, if fitted.
As i said tho, just a hypothesis.
