Why would they bother? I mean, it isn't as though the 'vette is a lightweight. Even with the titanium exhaust and carbon fibre bonnet, it still comes it at a corupulent 1400kg.

I wonder what it would cost to replace the exhaust system if it were damaged by bottoming out the car or to replace the bonnet if something heavy fell on it and it cracked.
