So if photo in front of a Maserati building is what you're looking for...When you visit the factory for a tour, only Maserati are allowed in front of HQ, parked facing out. Other Fiat group cars are allowed in behind the office, anything else is in on the street
Same rules applied the next day when we toured Lamborghini, not being VAG, we were on the street 15 minutes walk away

Times have changed! I didn't get turfed from general visitor parking when I visited either of those sites back in 2006. Having said that, Pagani and B Engineering were wonderfully accommodating. If you wondered how many bottles of champagne fit in the boot of a Maserati, the answer is a lot! Had space for a couple more cases
Yep, more eclectic mix but samples from quite a few countries...Belgian beer, Italian pasta and even a German watch in there somewhere. And yes, the rear seats were stacked too.S2_DPD said:

Funny, I went to Belgium this past week end and I managed to find some Westvleteren XII ... They would not let one buy more than a six pack so the Maserati's boot should be fine. A few pics of our 1975 US spec Bora - chassis #932. Delivered new to a buyer in Los Angeles, CA for US$39,900. Originally silver paint with red interior. It since got painted 'Cioccolato Smufato' a very dark brown, and reupholstered in cream. Bought it in 2012, derelict non-roadworthy condition with blown engine. It brought home the "Favorite Italian" trophy at Hemmings Sports & Exotic show this August. A marvelous driving car, built in the best Grand Touring tradition.
The Khamsin is a 4.9 5-speed manual, it has US side marker lights and I'm not sure whether the bumpers are US spec, or Euro-spec. It belonged to an acquaintance who grew weary of the technical maintenance it required to its systems and sold it in early 2013 - just in time to miss the spike in value. I regret I wasn't in a position to buy it from her, it went to France.

Lovely cars - and especially that have been restored, so many of these end up in the breakers yard.
I remember (as a kid) in the 70's the Merak when it was being sold new, still have the urge to buy a cheap one, keep hold of it and renovate when I retire.
Also around that time I saw the Boomerang when I was in Spain on holiday, this was the road going concept based on the Bora, looked like it had just landed from space rather than driven on the road.

I like the Bora a great deal but absolutely love the Khamsin. It is one of my favourite cars ever made. Edited to add: This Khamsin's bumpers are euro spec ones.

Did someone say Citroen??.... how about an SM, it must qualify to be displayed here...no? Here is a 5-speed 1973 SM I test drove for potential purchase from the same mechanic's shop at which the Khamsin was photographed. A sensational automotive experience. I loved the unique qualities of the chassis, but deep down I know I wouldn't be happy with anything less-than-blistering performance. But, just look at that beautiful design. Breathtaking really. And talk of seating comfort!

The epitome of "French" IMO (in a good way).

Was the Khamsin a style you loved from the moment you saw it?
For me, the Khamsin has become an acquired taste, even when I saw one in person for the first time in the 80's I thought it a bit awkward, but I admire it so much more the past 5 years or so. The Bora also.. to me, it has some "heft" around the mid-section, especially in photos. But my opinion was changed the very first time I saw one in person which was only in 2010.
Cheers,
