Indeed. The Bora was the first commission given to G.Giugiaro after he opened ItalDesign..

They really are a special thing - from Maserati's high point, at least from my perspective. The colour is superb too; highly unusual but beautiful. Did you choose it, or was it resprayed by a previous owner?

Is it you that posts Maserati videos on YouTube? They're enjoyable, if it is.

This Bora was originally silver with red interior.
The scheme probably seemed attractive when ordered, but I cringe to imagine how that looked with the giant black US bumpers... and it veritably negates the stainless roof.

The new colors were applied by a previous owner.. I speculate some time in the early '90s.
(I tell any die-hard Maseristi the dark brown color is called "Cioccolato Sfumato" - Italian for 'Smoked Chocolate' - but of course I just made that up to make them feel better after I had it matched to a '91 Renault color..haha! )

..If you are seeing mostly interior shots of a similar dark Bora being driven around the farm country of upstate New York ....plus clips of a red GTV6, a silver SM, a green DB9 and two Plymouth Satellites, then it is definitely me, yes.

Thank you, I am glad you enjoy them..
Cheers,
- Art

High Beach, circa 1974......
I have been searching for my Late Dads car since before 1985 and on Sunday night, i at last found it.
I spent the whole of Monday in a daze. The memoies, some great, some simply awful, have all come flooding back.
I have spoken to the seller, he sounds a really nice chap, but sadly, Ghibli prices are now beyond me.
I still have most of its early paper work, which i intend to pass on to the seller ( or new owner ) along with the cars story.
I have a customer who is possibly interested in buying it. But if anyone is Seriously looking for an early Ghibli in need of tlc, please PM me.

Just found the ad on carandclassic whilst looking for something else, very nice. Some lovely Indys and a couple of Meraks for sale on there too.

A few photos from the Centenary gathering in Bologna...

Hi all

This beauty has been sitting in my garage for the last few months awaiting the logbook from the DVLA, very frustrating.

Should be next week apparently, can't wait

Any classic Maserati owners on this forum in Southeast Kent / Sussex area ?

Beautifil cars gents, very nice.

Slurpysi - how come you've had to wait so long for the Indy's logbook...?

I chased the DVLA twice regarding my V55 application, the second time they said it was in hand. The next day I received a letter stating they were requesting an independent inspection.

Turned out to be easy - a home visit, no fee, no problems and immediate notification to DVLA all was ok.

So should be next week....

errr....no, still waiting for logbook. getting very frustrating now, am calling them daily and being promised the correct department will call me back to update status. But no call.

Will leave it today and call again tomorrow and not hang up until transferred to correct department.

During this they processed a new logbook for a Corvette I imported within two weeks - good news I suppose but rather a slap in the face !
