Early GT, am I mental?

This isn't a flippant question but what 40/45k 911 (I'm saying 911 as that's the natural competitor to the 4.7S) do you think will appreciate? Because I don't see any that will appreciate especially as they're made in larger numbers so are less rare.
Also the 4.7 S comes in ZF Auto form to which is the nicer of the two if you're using it around town the MC Shift works better when on the run (I had MC Shift & loved it) so I'd recommend that you test drive both.

I don't see either of these appreciating compared to the Maserati.

If you like reving out the Porsche flat 6, the Ferarri 430 derived V8 revs to 7500 and won't disappoint.
I knew I wanted one as soon as I sat in it, I had 3 Porsches before and whilst they unquestionably handle sweeter, the Masser feels way more special, much more sense of occasion driving it than in a Porsche.
