That car is beautiful, congratulations. Occasionally
my eyes are drawn by the Granturismo. There is a Bordeaux Pontevecchio example on eBay now which is virtually my favourite colour combo. I can’t bring myself to let the QP go though, it’s way too loved.

I have to agree that colour Bordeaux Pontevecchio is sublime. I wish I had been able to find one when I was buying.
If I have the right ad (the one in Rochdale) I am not sure I coudl live with the red wheel and dash though..
There were some bizarre colour combinations, took me a while to find the right one.
I think it is ok to have two Maserati.

Well I did buy one....
2013 GT Sport Auto. 41k miles, carbon lip spoiler, side skirts, mirrors, diffuser, exhaust surrounds on the outside and an Ivory and carbon interior with blue contrast stitching and a carbon steering wheel.
Only had it a few days and initial thoughts, bearing in mind my frame of reference is heavily informed by supercharged Jags of about a decade ago-
The car feels significantly quicker than my old near 600bhp XFR. Cold Pirelli P Zeros are an interesting experience though!
When in Sport Mode engine noise is fantastic. I did also get my hands on an X pipe but I suspect I will leave that off for a bit.
The Bose sound system seems really good.
But somehow the screen/ electronic systems are worse than my Jag. No touch screen, no DAB and Bluetooth phone connection seems hit and miss. To that end I plan to get my hands on the Apple CarPlay kit via the SportsMaserati forum that some owners have fitted. By all accounts it really modernises the interface.
It’ll be somewhere between a daily driver and a weekend car- but given I nipped to the shops and ended up taking a 15 mile detour yesterday, I think it’ll be hard to keep the miles down!
Hi I bought one too nice to see somebody else bought one too. Mine is the earlier - a pre face lift 2011 GT 4.7 S MC 37k in black with black, no carbon bits perhaps not as interesting colour. I'm very pleased, it was my mate's who emigrated. 2013 GT Sport Auto. 41k miles, carbon lip spoiler, side skirts, mirrors, diffuser, exhaust surrounds on the outside and an Ivory and carbon interior with blue contrast stitching and a carbon steering wheel.

I didn't read the reviews about checking underneath, I would if you haven't. Not major but I have had the rear gearbox subframe and minor odd metal body brackets powder coated; preventive attention to surface rust caused by poor quality Maserati original paint, because I want to use the car and not worry about it getting worse.

Do you mean the AU website, or the prestige please?
You can order directly from the Naviplus websiteYou can order from Naviplus via eBay
You can order supply and fit from Prestige - all you need to do is ring them up - he's a one man band, so be prepared to leave a message.
I am sure that other car electronic specialists in other parts of the country also offer this service
I ordered supply and fit from Prestige - I probably paid a few quid more for the unit, but I wanted a one stop shop. He keeps a small stock, so it was all pretty quick. I had the reversing camera fitted too.
It's not that difficult to fit the unit in a Maserati - the one thing Prestige offered was a plug-in loom extension that meant no wires needed to be cut and the entire install can be undone with zero trace it was ever there.

I've been daydreaming about replacing my Giulia Quadrifoglio, now 4 years old with a run out Granturismo (2018/19?)
Madness? A backward step in performance but could be a lot of fun? Anyone driven both?
I've driven both and as an MC Stradale owner of 4 yrs, don't regret that decision, albeit it was a closer run thing at the time than I'd originally expected given how good the Quad was. Whilst for pure driving thrills I would still say the QV was the better car, the all round feeling/experience/emotion of ownership of the Maserati hasn't disappointed me in any way. This was even more cemented on a long 2k roadtrip in 2019 to Spain which really surprised and impressed me what the Strad could do for a large car. Each car has amazing merits and its a privilege to be in such a place Madness? A backward step in performance but could be a lot of fun? Anyone driven both?

Whilst I haven’t had the pleasure of owning a GQ , I have run a GT for the last 7 years. Mustang is right, this isn’t necessarily a performance upgrade…but it is a huge automotive style and substance upgrade. Madness? A backward step in performance but could be a lot of fun? Anyone driven both?
Go on you only live once…
I think you either get the GT or you don’t. It’s not the greatest car in the world in terms of tech, performance, handling, build quality etc. But it’s equally not that bad and pretty decent in most of those categories (maybe apart from tech! but that’s mostly fixable with CarPlay that’s been discussed). What it is to me is a special car with an unrepeatable sound track, classy, stylish inside and out and universally receives a positive reception wherever you go. Running costs are reasonable for what you’re getting but parts are expensive so you have to buy carefully and lean into the sizeable aftermarket community that can bring costs down and making sure preventative maintenance is carried out is key to avoid anything catastrophic.
People mention 997s in comparison (of which I own a Gen2) but the GT doesn’t suffer regular catastrophic engine failure (IMS / Bore score on the gen1 997). The 911 is just not as much of an occasion, but yes is a “better” all round car (apart from rear seats) and becomes more special the harder you drive it. I’m on my second GT (2010 MC Shift now 2019 Sport Auto) and will own the latter as long as I’m legally and financially allowed! I think the car wouldn’t hold up well as an all weather daily but is awesome as an occasional office trip plus weekend and euro tour car for 3-4 people (something not many coupes can do). Buy well, lean into forums like sportsmaserati, and these cars will make you grin every time you start it, drive it and look at it as you walk away at the end of the journey.
Edit: should add that I’m less worried about depreciation. I’m now old so don’t change my cars that often (used to swap something every 18 months and lose a packet) . Second reason I’m changing cars less is new cars although better, faster etc. are becoming less and less special, (and I’m old so no bothered about all the onboard tech)
Think I’m just old maybe?
