Please can anyone confirm if the mc 20 is a problem with uneven roads due to ground clearance?

reason being I live at the end of a long bumpy gravel farm track that is prone to potholes, unfortunately I am not allowed to resurface it as it is owned by the National Trust , my last car was a Nissan GTR 2017 that would just about manage it without causing any damage ,

thanks

Mine has the lifter but even without using it, not had any issues in London. If you have the lifter, you’ll be fine I think. It’s a wonderful car.

If it not a heavily used track, just sneakily bang some bags of gravel into each hole and compress down as much as possible

That looks worse than ours, and our Gransport used to struggle (although the Z4M is fine).

I'd be tempted to get a straight edge or 2m level and measure the dips in the potholes. Much over 4 inches and I think you'd struggle (4 inches/100mm is the max for speed humps).

As mentioned, a few bags of MOT with a smattering of cement in mught help, but as you know these things have a habit of reappearing. For us the tractors suck it back out when they get mud on their tyres.

we do fill them with type 1 ( stone and dust mixed ) but the heavy rain ruins it in no time , think I will try a whacker plate on the next repair and hope it lasts longer.

Type 1/MOT/ scalpings/ 40 to dust / etc. different places use different names for essentially the same stuff smile

Mix a small amount of cement in (about 1:25, nothing like you would for making concrete with ballast) which will bind the dust a bit and stop it washing out as quickly. Don't make a proper concrete mix as the hole will still get bigger and you'll end up with a hard plug rocking in a large hole.

I find the MC20 has a surprisingly decent level of ground clearance, even before using the lift (indeed from some angles it looks slightly odd and almost too high). Comparing it to a Huracan, the MC20 is significantly better - both have a lift but the Huracan I find I have to be notably more careful with.

How that will work with your lane it's hard to say of course. I guess it comes down to how good you are at dodging the potholes!
