Maserati 4200

Hi looking to possibly purchase a Maserati 4200 have seen one but the engine tappets sound seems excessive is this normal?

Mine did it possibly 3 times in 8 years of ownership and usually after being left standing unused. You could hear 1 or 2 lazy tappets but giving it a good run would clear it. Shouldn’t be there all the time.

It is much easier to buy a bad one than a good one. If you have any doubts at all, walk away.
