What is the reliability like on the valves from the likes of Alibaba? They seem a damn sight cheaper than the ones from badlanzhpe in the States.

They seem fine as long as you thread lock al the bolts. There's a lot of vibration on the end of an exhaust.
mine were rattling as the spindle grub screw had worked loose.
Its all tight now and sounding quiet or ermm... not! smile

Thanks for the info. Edit - spotted the dual cable link on the last page. £110.99 for a two kits and the cable, cheap provided I don't get stung with vat and handling charges.

Question for those of you running the alibaba kits. Where have you installed the box that controls the motors? From the pictures in the listing there seems to be a box that I assume you point the remote towards to control the cutouts.

Mine's in the rear wing, on our Ute. It works from in the cab, and there's no direct route without passing through metal, so I guess you'll be fine siting them anywhere (except in your garage). wink

Did you use gaskets with these or just metal to metal?

Just to update this for those fitting valves into a wortec cat back with load/quiet capability(Monaro). The valves in the links above say 2.5" but I've been under the car and taken some measurements and the bolt pattern on the flange has 85mm hole centers which is a 3" cutout valve not a 2.5".
I ordered 2 3" cutout's on Ali Express with cables controller and switch for £58 delivered , 10 days later they arrived without any additional charges and I can't really fault them . The controller opens and closes them with one touch each way

To up date further...
I've done about 3500 miles since I fitted these and the gearbox on one of them has given up. To be fair it maybe my fault from closing them whilst accelerating down a slip road as there must be a fair bit of force to deal with from the exhaust gasses. But the seller on alliexpress sells spare motors with the gearbox for £7+p&p so happy days cheap easy fix. Flap mechanism was all ok and moving freely
