Just got back from taking youngest daughter to gatwick
I topped up oil before I left, on the way there noticed the oil pressure gauge was stuck on 5 right at the top of the gauge, pulled over at clacket lane, turned off, all seemed fine
Checked on the forum, it seems the gauges do stop working, never had a problem with it before
Turned key and showing 5 before start up
Carried on to gatwick and back gingerly
About a mile from home, car sounded a little more noisy
Pulled into my road and scraping noise, got out, looked underneath and one of the back boxes is scraping on the floor
Took it off completely and chucked it in the boot!
Oh the joys of Monaro ownership !!

OIl pressure switch is also a common problem on the LS engines.
Luckily you don't have a supercharger, as the switch is located underneath it, in the valley.

As long as the car gets home that is the bonus of having one.
