Many thanks!

Just one small mod this weekend, the de-badged boot lid was a bit sparse so controversially I've added a generic one....I know! but let's face it, the Range Rover/Halfords V8 wing badges are hardly bespoke

Have today fitted HSV side stripes to break up the red a bit. I like them! Feel free to agree or disagree

Like the stripes; they're a nice touch. Very jealous of the garage too smile

That's fantastic! Thanks very much, i was worried that they would need hacking about too much. I will get a pair ordered.
watch the back right corner as some of the covers catch the fuel line and you really don't want it rubbing through that smile

^^^indeed! Shocking results of the fuel line rubbing. Regardless of car age it should be recalled for a fault like that. The tortoise shell cover misses fuel lines but rubs a coolant hose.

You can rotate the photos if you go into the photos app on your phone. Also, if you take horizontal photos, make sure the volume buttons are facing downwards

Awesome car! think the wheels look nice but brain hurts from tilting sideways through the whole thread!

Ok! Well if I edit the pic by rotating it to compensate it appears as the edit. If I then rotate back it works! A PITA but will save a few neck sprains

When using iPhone or iPad take the picture with the button if holding that way either down or to the right if holding horizontal.

Most of my money has been going into the house recently but I’ve managed to spent a scrap on the monaro. The display on the original head unit was dead so upgraded to a Sony with a few more features. Also turned the amp up a little and I’m very pleased with the sound. Pic shows before the facia plate kit turned up

It’s been a busy day in the garage today. Yesterday evening a package arrived in the post all the way from eBay
I’ve wanted to fit a set of these exhaust cut outs since seeing some you tube vids.
I usually hate anything to do with exhaust work when no ramp is available but this job really went to plan!
The kit seems very good quality
The only snag being that there wasn’t space to fit the full Y section in as we needed enough room to fit the motors too
As you can see below we ended up cutting in the diverting section into the pipe rather than the full section, this was I little more fiddly but ended up a far more compact and neat job. We coated the weld in silver VHT paint to prevent corrosion
Now all wired in and working a treat! Sounds evil, I can’t wait to test it on the road but I can’t even get it up the drive currently due to snow so it will have to wait.....
I will try and get a vid up if I can get a good recording but I only have my phone which is pretty terrible

Sorry to mention this but noticed on photo what looked like rust on the main member near to cutout, If this is so, please correct ASAP or your lovely car is not going to last. And yes you have decided to do the right thing fitting cutouts, the sound is great, I too have some.

Thanks Ade, I’m a little apprehensive of the new mot rules but as the cut outs are built into the cats (high flowing sort) I can just bolt in standard cats if I have to.
If the rusty area is the bit with the three round holes in, disappearing off to the top of the pic? That is just the brake pipe channel so not structural. If not then please feel free to point it out and I will get right on it!! That said, undersealing treatment is definitely on the cards, there are a few areas where the original paint is going flakey now on inner sills and around rear subframe etc so want to get it treated before it gets worse
