I have been having another look at this problem I have with the window, there is a channel that is at the front of the door that looks like the window should run down but mine is not in the channel it runs down the outside of it can anyone confirm that it should sit in the channel. I don't really want to take the other door card off unless I'm have to.

From memory I would say yes it hooks around the door frame on the long straight side and in a channel on the front edge.

I think that I have eventually found the problem, the window does not run in the front channel how it works is there is a slider that bonds on to the window glass then it runs in a groove on the door skin side of the channel which of course you cannot see, what my problem is the slider has unbonded its self from the glass so the front of the glass is digging in without it attached, I don't suppose any one knows the position where it should be bonded on I would think it's on the bottom of the leading edge of the glass but would like to be sure.

Thats perfect thank you, it's impossible to see it all when it's fitted in the door, its a window out job to rebond it to the glass.
