So the only good thing for me to come out of the Covid-19 situation is that I have decided to take my HSV VT2 GTRS out of storage (10 years) and put her back on the road.

Who is the go-to garage now for HSV tuning, particularly ECU please?

walkinshaw or Top cats neither are that far from you , wow storage for that long , a gentle run then a lot of fluid changes , brake bleed nipples probably going to be your biggest issue

Very nice indeed.
What engine have you got under there? Looks like a LS3 engine cover with a pro-charger or similar?
Super!

Thanks, It's a LS1 C4B with various upgrades & a Vortech V3 Supercharger with FMIC. 502bhp @ the wheels (Surrey Rolling Road). I didn't have a decent set of 300kW engine covers hence the other cover.

That's awesome! Who fitted the S/C for you?

I may have something of interest to you? I think would suit your car more extremely well!scratchchin

Very nice, I have a new set of 300kW ones now but please let me know the costs privately.

The car originally had a SC fitted by LSV but I personally reworked the entire system as the LSV install wasn't great. I stayed with Vortech but changed to a self contained V3.

I'm interested in how your car performs. I'm assuming its very fast of course, but talking more about the delivery of power.
Is it like a turbo car, really taking off after say 3k?

No it's very linear power being a centrifugal charger.

laugh Quite right!
Been meaning to ask you John, when you had the 3.9 diff fitted, who recalibrated the speedo for you?
And was it the main ECU or just the cluster that was reprogrammed?
Cheers.

I have just checked, I actually put the car in storage shortly after the Dyno Day at Surrey Rolling Road in November 2009 so we may well have crossed paths. She has a whole 25k miles on her now!

The 3:90 diff was installed by Monkfish.
Sorry but I can't tell you how it was recalibrated, I left the car with them for a few days and just picked it up when it was finished. The recalibration was in with the price of the job.
A quick call to Roger or Andy might be in order.

John.
