Guys looking to decat the T350, is a remap required? where is best to get the De-cats from? whats it like with the sports exhaust?

ACT do de-cat pipes at the best price probably. Proper cone shaped stainless steel pipes. You don't need a re-map, some have it done, most don't. The type of noise will be much much better, and louder, and with sports exhaust, will be very much louder hehe

I'm afraid that I have nothing useful to add to this thread, other than to say that having followed a de-catted T350 with a JP back box many times, it still makes me laugh out loud every time I hear it!

So much so that I can't resist any longer and de-cats are going on the Tamora on Wednesday. De-cats + JP = big stunning sound biggrin

Also have to agree and say definitely worth doing, I got mine done about three years ago on the Tamora and absolutely love it!!! Mine are also ACT De-cat pipes with a sports exhaust and brings a smile to my face but dont expect to be inconspicuous

I have some clips on youtube under the same username LeeT350c!

Cheers. Lee.

Sorry to hijack, but if anyone has a pair of decats sitting on a shelf they no longer want or can't be arse'd to fit any longer. I would be interested in purchasing a pair.

Not trying to hijack but I'm also looking at decatting, my car already has a sports exhaust but I don't know who it's made by as there are no markings on it. Basically it's a stainless steel cat back system with two cherry bomb style centre boxes going into two smallish rear boxes with standard sized looking tail pipes. It is fairly loud but no way near loud enough for my liking, could anyone possibly shed some light on the subject please?
I did have a 4.5 Cerb with a full ACT defatted system and that sounded awesome.

When I had the S6 in my decats were made by Edward Quick the factory exhaust designer. He still makes them I believe based in Blackpool.

Another T350 owner looking / wanting to de-cat.

I have the RG sports exhaust which already makes the car loud.
If I decat, is it going to make it unbearably loud?
I live in London and use the car everyday, as well as long journeys on the motorway.
The concern is that if its too loud I'll just be stopped by the police every time I go past 4,000 rpm.

Finally, what is the MOT situation once this has been done?

Thanks

If you are using every day it's probably not going to be a good idea.
MOT's well that's a whole different story...........

If you have any plans to track your cars with decats and sports pipes then you may struggle with noise tests.

Can I be really rude and ask you how much they were to get made? (even if you want to PM me) Thinking on doing the same to my Tamora, seen a few second-hand come up periodically on eBay, but nothing for a while. Just so I know what ball park to be looking in, I have a custom exhaust specialist not too far from me, never used him but have heard that he is quite expensive.

cheers
Jamie

2 separate rear boxes would likely be the TVR Power exhaust.
As for de-cats, I have the JP box and ACT De-cats and the noise is awesome!! Not something I could live with for an everyday car but a weekend toy, as mine is, and it puts a huge grin on your face smile

Do they make much of a difference? I could do with some time spent on getting mine a bit cooler but don't know whether a new thermostat, a heater bypass or this would make the most difference. The glove box gets very cold!

Purely in my experience - no.
