electric window not working

passenger side (NS)window has packed up without warning. I've tried swapping NS fuses for both OS for both door ECU connections to no avail.
the wires appear to be attached into back of the switch panel
Anyone a clue where to check next; could it be another dang ribbon cable?

both buttons appear to be able to be depressed.

My passenger window got stuck down the other day, turned out to be a sticky switch. Can you hear it click when pressed? Sounds like you've got the glovebox out anyway so fairly easy to remove switch unit and separate the 2 sections to check switches. Bit of a clean and some WD-40 sorted mine.

If it's not that then it's beyond my advice level.......

I've got the switch out-one of the easier jobs on a tvr- and will take into work tomorrow for full checking, though I suspect its not a fault as it "clicks" when pressed. if it aint this then whats next?

Does the window drop when you open the door? Might limit your areas of enquiry.

In what position has it packed up...? Mine is currently stuck inside the door...ie completely down. When I press the down button, I can hear it click inside the door, showing there is some life somewhere....but not a sound...or any action when I press the up button....any ideas folks??

When I first got the car the GF accidentally pushed the central locking button instead of door, later I dropped her of and went to get petrol, found out I was locked out, queue the usual panic posting for how to get in... when I got in the buttons appeared to be clicking all the same but still locking me out, after a few days of using only the secret entry method, I only managed to fix it by taking the button assembly apart, giving it a good direct clicking session, wd40 and putting it back together again.

Tony, it doesn't budge. the window is (thankfully) in the fully up position.
I've had the switch out and its had a proper cleaning, as I suspected it wasn't the switch unit.
my next job will be door card off and check I've power to the motor.
Would anyone else care to hazard a guess?

I think the window is controlled via the door control unit. If this is the case, try swapping the passenger side one for the driver's side and see if the fault follows the suspect one.

You may already have done this, it wasn't totally clear in the OP.

Somewhere in each footwell, I expect.

Another possible cause is the wire harness from door internals to hinge pillar. Over time openning and closing the door can pull too much harness through the grommet into the space about the hinge, where it then frays the wire sleeve and chews up the wires.

I fixed my window by taking the door card off and just pulling harness through into the door! While in there I also got busy with wd40 and electrical cleaner on all the plugs... but I know I will have to replace or rebuild that harness at some point.

To be clear I had an S bend on harness in the hinge gap, straightening that out by pulling it into the door fixed my window.

There is one in each footwell. There is a good chance they are labelled so should be easy to spot. IIRC they are 4-5 inch squarish boxes. The Graham Varley website might hav a pic if no one has posted one on PH before.

The passenger side is behind the footwell cover and the drivers side to the right of the pedals or possibly behind them.

1) is it repairable?
2) if not, any ideas where I can obtain one from?

Repaired my Dash ECU/Dash a few weeks ago. Keep trying, he will respond, but possibly a one-man-band and it's holiday season?

There is no real alternative, so hang on!!

Yeah, I'll do that; TBH I'm off this week, weather is glorious so I'm doing my best to get a mention in the spotted TVRs section!
if I take it out, I think it paralyses the boot opening so I've left in place whilst I enjoy the car! more miles this week than ever with it. cheers for the feedback, gents.
